from the Covington Leader newspaper article:
Sponsored by The Wrather Dental Center
It's that time again, Valentine's Day. To the staff of Wrather Dental this day represents more than a box of candy, a card or a romantic dinner. It's about caring for the dental patients in the community that are in need of free dental care.
This will be the center's sixth annual "Dentist with a Heart." The staff has been eagerly making the arrangements for this event. Each year, they try to make the event bigger and better from the previous year.
Last year a total of 32 patients were seen and a total of $18,116 of dentistry was provided.
Patients have told the staff that they began arriving at 12:30 a.m. in order to be the first in line for the free dental day. The public now knows that patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.
Due to the large turnout there may be some people who may not be seen....
The staff truly tries to provide the best care possible.
Services being offered include x-rays, cleanings, extractions, resins and other emergency treatments. No one under the age of 13 can be seen and if they are under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that can remain with them the entire time.
There will be health histories that will be filled out, so bring a list of all current medications.
The office is located at 720 West Sherrod Ave. in Covington and opens at 8 a.m., so get in line early. The staff will be waiting and the coffee pot will be on.
The staff at Wrather Dental Center wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. For more information, call the office at 476-8121.
